Head Coach
At Vranes Academy, Dejan sets the overall training philosophy and methodology. He designs long-term development plans, supervises all high-performance groups and personally oversees players with international ambitions. His focus is on building complete competitors: technically clean, tactically intelligent, physically prepared and mentally stable under pressure. He works closely with the rest of the coaching and performance staff to align daily court work with each player’s competition calendar and long-term goals.
• ATP/WTA-level coach with over 20 years in national team roles within the Tennis Federation of Serbia (National Coach, Junior and Senior Women’s Team Selector, Fed Cup Captain).
• Extensive experience as head coach at Olympic Games (Beijing 2008, London 2012) and Fed Cup ties around the world.
Biography
Dejan Vraneš is one of the most experienced and respected tennis coaches in Serbia. For more than two decades he has worked within the Tennis Federation of Serbia as National Coach, Fed Cup captain and selector, and head coach of national teams at the biggest competitions in the world. His highlight achievement was leading the Serbian women’s team to the Fed Cup final in 2012, a result that still stands as the best in the history of Serbian women’s tennis. Throughout his career he has combined deep technical knowledge with strategic match coaching and a strong ability to manage high-pressure team environments at Olympic Games, Grand Slam events and major ITF/ATP/WTA tournaments.
• Head Coach of the Serbian Men’s Olympic Team at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, where Novak Djokovic won a bronze medal for Serbia.
• Fed Cup selector and coach for the Serbian women’s team that reached the Fed Cup final in Prague 2012.
• National coach and selector working with top Serbian players such as Jelena Janković, Ana Ivanović, Bojana Jovanovski, Vesna Dolonc and Aleksandra Krunić during their periods in the national teams.
• Individual coach of Olga Danilović, working on her junior development and later travelling with her on the WTA Tour, including during her breakthrough season.
